life(style) : big fish energy

I have a rather minimal approach when it comes to my personal style. I’m a t-shirt and denim kind of girl. As simple as I am when it comes to personal style, there is one thing I don’t skip on. And that thing is the way I accessorize.

I’m very intentional about everything I do and that intentionality pours into the way I shop. I recently went to Zara for some retail therapy while there I purchased (fish-shaped) earrings.

They reminded me of a scripture that I’ve been meditating on for several months now - John 21: 3-6 which reads:

Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.

5 He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”

“No,” they answered.

6 He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

This scripture is one of my favorites for a number of reasons. It’s giving big (fish) energy! What is big fish energy? To me, big “fish” energy is partnering with God so He can do the impossible through you.

A revelation I recently came to.

Once the disciples made the decision to cast their net on the right side as instructed by Jesus - scripture states that “they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish”

It all boils down to a decision.
