Do you ever sit down and think about some of your lived experiences. I’m not sure if this is a thing that comes with age, but the more I live, the more I realize that even things I once considered failures, were actually a set up for the next phase(s) in my life.

Ideas that never came to fruition, the long summer breaks in Ottawa Ontario spent writing while friends played outside ( my father was very… AFRICAN lol ) the not so glamorous positions I’ve held, failed friendships ( everybody ain’t your friend beloved -and that’s okay) — the list goes on.

The good, and the not so good were actually all working for my good, and the same goes for you.

Which leads me to today’s post.

Years ago I attended a Conference in New York City ( shared about this in my last post) hosted by Lucky MAGAZINE.

The magazine was under the CONDE NAST SUBSIDIARY and it unfortunately folded in 2015.

Despite LUCKY’s fate, a seed was planted in me. I wanted to create something that would not only fuel creativity for those reading it but also highlight individuals and their stories…. An online destination where all things (abundance ) flow.

That seed became CORNERSTONE.
